Let’s just say Dow’s Tawny is a little time-travel experiment – and a rather delightful one at that. This mature tawny boasts an astonishing depth of flavour, hinting at toasted caramel and those classic dried fruits – almonds and figs, predominantly – with a vibrant acidity that keeps it remarkably fresh. It’s a wine that’s clearly earned its accolades, having been recognised with a World Spirits Award, and would be absolutely superb with some aged cheeses, particularly a touch of Évora’s sweetness.
