The bottles of aged wines may exhibit dust traces and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to evolving changes. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this helps liberate its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine typically tends to produce. (Illustrative image)
