This Duque de Viseu, hailing from the heart of the Dão, clearly had a bit of a lively start. Built on a foundation of Alfrocheiro and Bical, it delivers a wonderfully vibrant acidity. The addition of Encruzado brings a delicate floral note reminiscent of the Serra’s breezes, while the Jaen provides structure and complexity, and the Aragonez contributes a touch of red fruit, beautifully balancing everything. A genuinely compelling expression of Dão tradition, and perfect alongside a hearty pork dish like *carne de porco à alentejana*, or perhaps some grilled sardines.
