E. Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, a small ancient village and the cradle of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. It houses an original vineyard where vines and wines have been renowned for over 2,400 years. In 1924, at the age of 14, the founder harvested 67 crops in the Côte-Rôtie region, and early in his career he helped develop the Vidal‑Fleury estate. (image purely illustrative)
