It’s a serious, subtly mineral red – surprisingly refreshing considering its alcohol content – and a fantastic illustration of what this variety can achieve in Gualtallary, a wine that, as Vigil himself puts it, “can stand up to roast pork and the relentless thirst of my neighbours.”
