The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that normally reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that ages, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve over time. Thus the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which helps release its natural aromas after many years sealed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which is typical of older wines. (Illustrative image)
