Description

This El3mento, a wonderfully eccentric collaboration between Luís Pedro and Carmelo, feels like it sprung directly from a student’s daydream. The vineyard, aged a remarkable 600 metres in Barcos – Tabuaço, imparts a distinctly robust character to the grapes, culminating in a completely spontaneous fermentation – a bold move, certainly! A lengthy maceration of around four months further amplifies the colours and expressive potential of the indigenous grapes. It’s a wine that dares to take risks, and frankly, it’s delicious, particularly when paired with perfectly grilled beef.
