The bottles of the aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, has aromas that evolve over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of being closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do it patiently so you can detect the appearance of sediment, which old wines tend to develop. (illustrative image)
