Let’s just say this “Super Reserva” from Confraria Arinto e Chardonnay is a bit of a curveball. It’s aiming for the maturity of a wine meant to age gracefully, with a generous splash of Arinto and Chardonnay. The acidity’s certainly present, and with a surprisingly long finish – perhaps a touch of clever stabilization. The aromas are… well, let’s call them interesting, venturing outside the typical champagne profile. Fantastic with those rustic Portuguese dishes, or when you simply need a little self-indulgence.
