This "Montanha Premium Reserva" certainly aims high – perhaps a touch too ambitiously. Production on a scale reminiscent of Dom Pérignon indicates a significant investment, yet the result is a lively sparkling wine with characteristic citrus and green apple notes, reflecting the dominant grape varieties of the region. The effervescence is pleasant, though perhaps doesn't entirely live up to the grandiose name, especially considering its silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. It pairs beautifully with fresh seafood and would be surprisingly bold with sushi, wouldn’t it?
