The Monteiro Albuquerque family has been producing wine for over 100 years across seven generations. In 2006, the fifth generation of the Monteirinhos decided to launch a producer‑winery project under their own label, reorganising and laying out the vineyards and building a new, modern wine cellar. Their first wine hit the market in 2013, the *Quinta dos Monteirinhos – Tinto 2010*, followed by their first blended release in 2014. This agricultural project seeks, on one hand, to honour the history of an agrarian family from Beira Alta, and, on the other, to promote the excellence and elegance of Dão wines. *(illustrative image only)*
