The grapes come from a plot of 80‑year‑old Baga vines on a limestone slope facing east, capturing only the morning sun. The mountainous vineyards of Bairrada are squeezed between the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra do Caramulo along the Cértima River, creating a wonderful microclimate.
