Etna Rosso Contrada Carranco Tinto

Description

Harvested from the estate’s most suitable plot, the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccino grapes ferment in concrete: half whole bunches and half destemmed and crushed. Followed by 18 months ageing in French oak barrels. Each wine is only meant to spend time in wood for the correct period to enhance its characteristics – no specific duration is needed for a special mention. The result is a Contrada Carranco black label Etna Rosso, simply known as RV, with a ruby red colour and garnet hues. Red fruit and black pepper flavours, with smooth and elegant tannins and a long, narrow finish.
