Let’s just say this “Flor das Tecedeiras” isn’t holding back. It’s a bold red wine that seems to have bottled the essence of the coast, boasting herbaceous notes of wild thyme and a surprising saline whisper, likely thanks to its Alentejo roots. Built on a foundation of Aragonez and Trincadeira, the vines clearly have a story to tell – and it’s a rather dramatic one! The result is a wine with plenty of body and tannins, possessing a delightfully rough-around-the-edges quality. Seriously, it’s fantastic with grilled beef or a hearty lamb roast – a winner for those who like their wine with a bit of character, and, admittedly, a rather grand name.
