As the wine opens in the glass, apricot aromas emerge, followed by warmer hints of cedar, spices, dark chocolate and that opulent fruit character that defines Fonseca’s style. On the palate, these exuberant wild fruit aromas are wrapped in a halo of wild herbs, star anise, raspberry leaf, cocoa nibs and a delightful touch of tangerine peel. The silky texture of the wine masks firm, well‑integrated tannins that surface at the finish, delivering an attractive firmness and structure.
