The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. Nevertheless, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas are subject to various evolutions. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a vintage wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
