Depending on its age, the wines may show signs of time, such as dust on the bottles and/or some label damage, common in bottles that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We generally select brands/regions that normally do well in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like others, is exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas undergo different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle air out beforehand, as this will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed.
