According to its age, wines may show marks left by time, such as dust residues on the bottles and/or damage to the labels—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Wine Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual appearance that reflects their age. We usually select brands/regions that tend to perform well in old wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like everything else, is exposed to time; even within a bottle, aromas can evolve differently. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the quality of the wine, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe first, which helps release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed.
