This 2018 Foudre is a truly remarkable wine, born from a vineyard dating back 80 years nestled in the Serra de São Mamede, at an impressive 700 metres. The slow, patient winemaking – carried out in a traditional 1150-litre Alsatian “foudre” – undoubtedly contributes to its exceptional maturity. The calcareous soils of the Serra, combined with the dominant Antuérnia grapes, deliver a wonderfully complex and lingering aromatic profile. Seriously delicious with grilled fish or a roasted chicken infused with herbs.
