The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal for their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, as a rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas evolve. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that an old wine tends to form. (illustrative image)
