Description

The vineyards of Fundação Abreu Callado, all planted near Benavila, date back to the mid‑1950s and some of those pioneering varieties are still in production today. Covering about 52 hectares of sandy‑loamy soils, they benefit from the pleasant climate provided by the Maranhão Dam, a factor that shines through in the quality and excellence of the wines. Also located in Benavila, the winery preserves traditional winemaking and ageing techniques alongside modern methods, with the capacity to store two to three consecutive harvests.
