Description

Bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Wine Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it deliberately preserves the visual character associated with their age. We select brands and regions that, in general, display distinct traits in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even sealed in a bottle its aromas can evolve in various ways. Consequently, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, which will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce.
