This Gerard Bertrand Gris appears to have been lovingly sequestered in a CO2 environment – perhaps the producer was a little wary of letting the Grenache’s inherent beauty slip away. Thankfully, the pressure hasn’t diminished the fresh red fruit and bright berry notes that are so characteristic. A delicate lees finish adds a lovely complexity, and it’s utterly sublime with a grilled fish and a squeeze of lemon.
