After receiving the grapes, the winemaker performed gentle destemming and crushing, allowing the pomace to be gravity‑driven into stainless‑steel fermentation tanks. During the five days of fermentation, the must was subjected to several pump‑overs to gently extract aromas and phenolic compounds from the skins. The wine was then transferred to stainless‑steel storage tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the red Grão Vasco is aged in stainless‑steel barrels until bottling. This is done in stages to preserve the lot’s freshness, followed by a period of bottle maturation before release. Good for an aperitif, pairing well with salads, meat dishes, game, all kinds of poultry, and cheeses. Store in a cool, dry place away from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve between 15 °C and 17 °C. Enjoy responsibly.
