The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We carry out a selection of brands/regions that, by default, display distinct characteristics in tastings of older wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that, when exposed to time, even within a bottle, has aromas subject to various evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, given that it is an older wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do it patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an older wine tends to produce. (illustrative image only)
