The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, a natural consequence of their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual character that comes with age. We select brands and regions that, normally, reveal distinct traits in aged wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve over time. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. We recommend opening the bottle and letting the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an older wine tends to form. (Illustrative image only)
