It offers hints of iodine, varnish, orange zest, walnuts, honey and toasted notes. On the palate it behaves like a dry Madeira, not sharp but with a complex aromatic concentration. It has structured wood notes, firm tannins, which together with the varietal characteristics produce rich and varied aromas, dominated by walnuts, beeswax and a touch of vanilla.
