This Myndru, hailing from the wonderfully illogical Alentejo – 24 micro-terroirs carved into a mountain and plateau – is a real surprise. The blend of Roupeiro, Perrum and Alvarinho, matured in terracotta amphorae, results in a remarkably silky texture, as if the vineyard itself is confiding in the wine. It’s a remarkably fresh wine for the altitude, and the finish is just begging for another glass, particularly good with grilled fish and a squeeze of lemon.
