Bright red colour. Attractive aroma with notes of redcurrant, black plum and mustard seeds. On the palate it is fresh, very full‑bodied and elegant. It has present, fine tannins that are very well integrated. Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes with the ambition of introducing Portuguese wines to the world, based on a long‑term vision anchored in the quality of the wines sold, the importance of brand innovation and the presentation of its wines. Today led by the third generation of the founding family, the company increasingly fulfils the goal set at its founding: to be a family‑run, internationally oriented business focused on producing quality wines, innovation and developing Portuguese brands of global standing. Sogrape Vinhos owns about 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Since 1942 it has invested in the country’s main wine regions, and naturally the Alentejo region has always inspired a desire to launch a project capable of delivering Alentejo wine quality to consumers. In 1998 the acquisition of Herdade do Peso was completed, quickly establishing itself in the national market for its ability to offer varying levels of complexity and styles of wine.
