Garrafeira Nacional commits to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We generally choose brands/regions that perform well in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism, exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle breathe first, which will help liberate the natural aromas after so many years sealed. Avoid decanting; it may be too aggressive for old wines.
