The Herdade Papa Leite Pacto do Diabo white wine is the result of a harmonious blend of Moscatel, Chenin Blanc, and Viognier, bringing together the aromatic freshness and expressive character of these three varieties. It pours an open straw‑gold colour and offers a subtle mineral profile, enriched with notes of honey and ripe pear that lend delicacy and depth. On the palate it is balanced and engaging, with a density that lingers throughout the tasting and echoes the sensations found in the nose. An elegant, precise white full of character. Herdade Papa Leite, situated in Alter do Chão in the heart of Alto Alentejo, dates back to the 17th century, and even today you can still find landmarks from that era. After many families passed through the estate, it was Filipe Barreiros Cardoso—who, enamoured with the property, bought it—who, with the support of his family and team, realised an old dream of producing high‑quality products. The estate was subsequently expanded and revitalised, now covering 320 hectares dedicated to wine, olive oil and cattle. The vineyards are planted on clay soils, and the grapes are harvested at night and selected before they enter the cellar, where the wine is produced using the finest raw material available.
