The Herdade Papa Leite “Pacto do Diabo” white wine is the result of a harmonious blend of Moscatel, Chenin Blanc and Viognier, bringing together the aromatic freshness and expressive character of these three varieties. With an open straw colour, it displays a subtle mineral profile enriched by notes of honey and ripe pear that lend it delicacy and depth. On the palate it is balanced and engaging, with a density that carries through the tasting and mirrors the same sensations found in the nose. An elegant, precise white full of character. Herdade Papa Leite, located in Alter do Chão in the heart of Alto Alentejo, dates back to the 17th century, and even today one can still see monuments from that era. After many families came and went, Filipe Barreiros Cardoso, passionate about the property, acquired it and, with the support of his family and team, turned an old dream into reality – producing products of great quality. The estate was thus expanded and revitalised, covering 320 hectares dedicated to wine, olive oil and cattle. The vineyards are planted on clay soils, and the grapes are harvested at night and selected before entering the cellar, where the production of wine with the finest raw material is guaranteed.
