This Horta Osório Touriga Nacional rosé feels like it’s been lovingly coaxed into existence – a truly reverent approach. The hand-harvesting and grape transport in 18kg boxes indicate a dedication to preserving the integrity of the cluster, which is always a promising sign. The result is a pale salmon-coloured wine bursting with the bright notes of strawberry, cherry, and a hint of blackcurrant. The careful fermentation at 12°C was clearly aimed at retaining the distinctive character of the Touriga Nacional. A beautifully structured and lively rosé, ideal with grilled fish or white meats.
