This Hugo Mendes Tejo is a wonderfully inventive project – essentially, a biologist’s experiment bottled. Funded by wine lovers keen to simplify things, it snagged the Enologo Prize of Lisbon in 2018. The Trincadeira grapes deliver a full-bodied wine with plenty of fruit, perfect with grilled fish or a good aged cheese.
