Born and raised in Ribeira de Santarém, Hugo Mendes studied Biotechnology Engineering, but his passion for wine spoke louder, and since the 2006 harvest he has devoted himself entirely to oenology. A lover of sharing the art with consumers, he is a regular presence on social media. Since 2008 he has run a blog dedicated to simplifying oenology for wine lovers. He became a producer in his own name in the 2016 harvest, having carried out Portugal’s first crowdfunding campaign to finance a wine. (illustrative image only)
