This "Humus Charlatao" – a rather cheeky name, I must say – certainly throws its hat into the ring with a boldness that occasionally overreaches itself. The Touriga Nacional delivers its typical structure, though with a lushness that feels a touch… enthusiastic. Rich red fruit notes – think plum and strawberry – are prominent, but that promised “perfect balance” hasn't quite fully materialized. It pairs wonderfully with grilled sardines, a delightfully contrasting combination, hopefully!
