Description

Ikewen is an iconic brand in the world of natural wine. It is a name given in honour of the indigenous Berber and/or Guanche peoples of Gran Canaria, meaning “origin.” Precisely here are several vineyards located in the island’s northeast, where, in addition to Listán Negro, other native grape varieties are cultivated. The plots sit between 1,100 and 1,460 metres above sea level, on volcanic sand, silt, clay, and rock. Winemaking uses whole clusters, and the wine ages in both stainless steel and old French oak barrels, before being bottled without clarification or filtration. A true rarity for the most adventurous connoisseurs, it stands out for its elegance, delicacy, and an eminently floral character.
