Infantado Branco

Description

The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged, and bottled on the estate, located on the northern bank of the Douro, near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region, long renowned for the excellence of its vineyards. In the late nineteenth century, the property was acquired by João Lopes Roseira, ancestor of the current managers. Since taking ownership, the Roseira family has progressively expanded the vineyard area and specialized in the production and aging of Fine Wines. In 1979 the first Quinta Port wines were released, reviving a very old tradition lost for more than fifty years. The estate covers about 23 hectares of vines, classified with the highest designation available in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, using this as inspiration to refine traditional vinification techniques in the press, and by capitalizing on the excellent grapes produced there, it creates naturally the highest‑quality Port wines.
