Infantado Branco

Description

The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged, and bottled on the estate, located on the northern bank of the Douro near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region, long celebrated for its vineyard excellence. In the late 19th century the estate was purchased by João Lopes Roseira, ancestor of the present owners. Since then the Roseira family has steadily expanded the vineyard area and specialised in the production and ageing of Fine Wines. In 1979 the first Quinta Port wines were released, reviving a long‑forgotten tradition that had disappeared for over fifty years. The estate spans roughly 23 hectares of vineyards, classified with the highest designation in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, and uses this distinction to refine traditional vinification techniques in the lousã, harnessing the superb grapes produced there to craft naturally produced Port wines of the utmost quality.
