This wine, born from the unique “Setas” vineyard nestled in the heart of the Arribas mountains, is a gloriously untamed expression of Transmontana character. It’s a wonderfully chaotic blend of ancient, Tinta Gorda, Bastardo and Mourisco vines, lifted by a touch of Malvasia Fina, Dona Branca and Donzelinho. Fermented traditionally in the lagar, with the whole grapes retaining their integrity, it delivers an intense burst of fruit – as if the mountain itself is imparting its flavour. Definitely a wine for a hearty plate of carne de porco à alentejana to tame its spirit.
