This Andrésen certainly has a wonderfully aged character from the very first whiff of dried raisins. A vibrant acidity is fighting a valiant battle against a certain richness and slight mustiness, elements that linger delightfully on the palate. It’s a wine with real personality, best enjoyed alongside some well-aged cheeses and a generous slab of Iberian ham – a pairing that demands a wine with some serious presence.
