Jacquesson is one of the most venerable houses in Champagne. In 1843, Johann‑Joseph Krug, one of its founders, left Jacquesson to establish his own house. Yet, despite more than 200 years of history, Jacquesson has become revolutionary among the established Champagne houses, under the leadership of brothers Laurent and Jean‑Hervé Chiquet, who inherited it from their father in the 1980s. Since then, the house has adopted a philosophy based on vineyards where no pesticides are used. Later, its non‑vintage blend was replaced by a base wine built around an innovative single‑vintage that changes each year.
