Jacquesson is one of Champagne’s most venerable houses. In 1843, Johann‑Joseph Krug, one of its founders, left Jacquesson to create his own house. Yet, despite over 200 years of history, Jacquesson became revolutionary among the established Champagne houses under the leadership of brothers Laurent and Jean‑Hervé Chiquet, who inherited it from their father in the 1980s. Since then, the house has embraced a philosophy based on pesticide‑free vineyards. Later, its non‑vintage blend was replaced by a single‑vintage base wine that changes annually. This innovative mindset ensures that champagne lovers can explore more and newer Jacquesson releases, with the house’s creative ideas always keeping that purpose in mind.
