Jean‑François Ganevat is one of a kind—there is no other like him in the world. His wines are true treasures that come from the intense care this “vigneron” gives to his entire vineyard, from the first step the grape takes until it transforms into liquid gold. He is far more than a biodynamic producer; he is a perfectionist who even imagines each of his small cuvées having its own unique “elevage,” a notion that would drive most people mad. Although he has worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy, Jean‑François makes his wines in the Jura. In an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the various vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, each one an immortal reflection of its particular “terroir.” As an enthusiastic biodynamic, his wines contain very little sulfite—sometimes none at all.
