Jean‑François Ganevat is unique; there is no other like him in the world. His wines are treasures that arise from the utmost care this “vigneron” shows across his entire vineyard, at every step from grape to liquid gold. Jean‑François is more than a biodynamic producer; he is a perfectionist who imagines himself to the point where each of his small cuvées has a unique, personal “elevage”, a detail that would drive anyone mad. He makes his wines in the Jura, despite having worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy. In an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, which are nothing more than an immortal mirror of each of his “terroirs”. As a fervent biodynamic, his wines contain barely any sulphur, or in some cases none at all. (illustrative image)
