Jean‑François Ganevat is unique; there is no other like him anywhere in the world. His wines are precious treasures that result from the extreme care of this vigneron throughout his entire vineyard, from every step the grape takes until it turns into liquid gold. He is far more than a biodynamic winemaker; he is a perfectionist who imagines, to the point that each of his small cuvées has a unique and personal “elevage,” something that would drive anyone mad. He makes his wines in the Jura, despite having worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy. In an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the various vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, which are nothing more than an immortal mirror of each of his terroirs. As a fervent biodynamic, his wines contain very small percentages of sulfites, or in some cases none at all. (illustrative image)
