Jean‑François Ganevat is one‑of‑a‑kind; there is no other like him in the world. His wines are precious gems that arise from the extreme care he gives his entire vineyard, from every step the grape takes until it turns into liquid gold. Ganevat is far more than a biodynamic producer – he is a perfectionist who goes to the extent that each of his small cuvées has its own unique “elevage,” a detail that would drive anyone mad. Though he has worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy, Ganevat makes his wines in the Jura, in an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland. The various vineyards there give rise to all his cuvées, each one a mirror of its own terroir. A zealous biodynamic, his wines contain only trace amounts of sulphur – in some cases none at all.
