Jean‑François Ganevat is unique; there is no one else like him in the world. His wines are treasures that come from the extreme care this “vigneron” gives to his entire vineyard, to every step the grape takes until it turns into liquid gold. Jean‑François is far more than a biodynamic winemaker; he is a perfectionist who, one can imagine, goes to the point where each of his small cuvées has its own unique “elevage,” something that would drive anyone mad. It is in the Jura—despite having worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy—that Jean‑François produces his wines. In an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, which are nothing more than an immortal mirror of each of his terroirs. As a fervent biodynamic, his wines contain only trace amounts of sulfur, and in some cases none at all. (illustrative image only)
