This João Pires, hailing from the Setúbal Peninsula, is a clear demonstration that Moscatel still has plenty to say. It boasts an intensely aromatic expression, with notes of homemade orange and honey, perfectly capturing the spirit of this land. On the palate, it’s remarkably elegant and persistent, a refreshing acidity balancing the sweetness, and finishing with an incredibly long linger. Wonderful with Setúbal breads or aged cheeses, as you’d expect from a wine that’s garnered deserved accolades.
