Located in Portugal’s Alentejo region, Quinta de Dona Maria is recognised for its 18th‑century palace, which is not only a historic landmark but also linked to wine production for over 150 years. In 1988, under new owner Júlio Bastos, the wines from this estate began to be marketed nationally and internationally, gaining recognition from both the general public and wine critics. Though the old cellar has been restored, expanded and modernised, the 19th‑century marble vats have been retained as the protagonists of the winemaking for these quality wines.
