Located on the fringe of the Yi‑Lan mountains and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the King Car distillery set out to create something many thought would never happen: Taiwanese whisky. The brand was named after the indigenous Kavalan people who originally inhabited the region, a nod to how genuine the King Car Group wanted to be with its new venture. They aimed to craft whisky truly inspired by Taiwan for its own people, and to showcase to the world the original ideas and characteristics that their products could embody.
